COTSWOLDS 1

The Parterre garden is located in front of the oldest part of the original manor house, which dates back to the turn of the 18th century. The Parterre garden was a later twentieth century addition and had become fussy and cluttered during the 1980’s. This made it difficult to appreciate the geometric form of the parterre. The parterre was simplified and rebalanced into a more restful ‘pure’ green, minimalist space. Design changes were recommended to create a classical yet contemporary parterre space.
